Most of us have hobbies we do for a diversion or to pass the time. They make us interesting and can provide stress relief. Celebrities are no exception.

Just like your friends and your relatives, celebrities have some interesting hobbies.

Celebrities Love Sports

  • Actor Charlie Sheen is a huge fan of professional baseball. Above all others, Sheen is an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and in his spare time you often find him at a game. He also collects baseball cards. In 1998, two dozen rare baseball cards that Sheen owned but had loaned to the Official All-Star Cafe, a sport-themed restaurant in Times Square, were stolen from a display case. The 24 cards were valued at $170,000.
  • Former U.S. President George W. Bush is also a major league baseball fan. From 1989 to 1994 he was the managing general partner of the Texans Rangers. Celebrities Volunteer

Celebrities Do Things with Their Hands

Stewart created a spectacular replica of New York's Grand Central Station, complete with 100 feet of track as well as buildings and figures in 1940s period attire. The impressive layout appeared on the cover of a 2007 issue of Model Railroader and Stewart called it and honour that meant more to him than doing the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.

My father taught me how to play chess at seven and introduced beautiful concepts that I try to pass on to my kids. The elements and concepts of life are so perfectly illustrated on a chess board. The ability to accurately assess your position is the key to chess, which I also think is the key to life."

Basically what you're trying to do is imitate a fly. I'm not terribly successful at catching fish,' he added, 'but that's not why I do it really."
