March is the perfect month to see a movie and there are some great flicks that hit theatres this month.
The warmer weather is bringing with it some must-see movies!!
Thriller Flicks
- The Adjustment Bureau - Based on the Philip K. Dick short story The Adjustment Team, this movie tells the story of a politician (played by Matt Damon) who falls for a ballerina (Emily Blunt.) But men from The Adjustment Bureau are striving to keep them apart. (Planned Release Date - March 4, 2011)
- Red Riding Hood - This is not your classic children's tale! Valerie's family has arranged for her to marry a wealthy, older man but she is in love with someone else. As the two lovers are about to run away, Valerie's sister gets mauled to death by a werewolf. The werewolf now has the taste of human meat and wants to feed his appetite. Can a werewolf hunter keep them safe? (Planned Release Date - March 11, 2011)
- Limitless - Bradley Cooper stars as an out-of-work writer who has been rejected by his girlfriend and he believes he is a failure. But that changes when he starts taking a drug that gives him more confidence than any man alive. But as he rises to the top of the financial world, can he handle all that his life now entails? - Lost Journey - Opening to a limited release, this movie tells the story of a 19-year-old Iranian man who comes to Canada for the first time to live with extended family and go to school. But he falls in with the wrong crowd and his life gets out of control. Can he get back on track before it's too late? (Planned Release Date - March 1, 2011)
- Beastly - Kyle has been blessed with the good looks and opportunities of a privileged young man. But he also has a ruthless side. After mocking one of his classmates, she casts a spell on Kyle, turning him into the kind of person he hates. (Planned Release Date - March 4, 2011)
- Kids in America - Three recent college graduates try to figure out what they should do with their lives. (Planned Release Date - March 4, 2011)
- Even the Rain - A film crew travel to Bolivia to make a movie about the conquest of Latin America in February 2000. (Planned Release Date - March 11, 2011)
- Jane Eyre - This is the classic story of a governess and her employer, based on the Charlotte Bronte novel by the same name. (Planned Release Date - March 18, 2011)
- The Lincoln Lawyer - A Los Angeles criminal defence lawyer who works out of the back of his Lincoln sedan gets what appears to be the case of a lifetime - the defence of a playboy accuses of rape and attempted murder. But things are not as they appear. This drama has an all-star cast - Matthew McConaughey, Marisa Tomei, Ryan Phillippe, and William H. Macy. Country crooner Trace Adkins also appears. - When We Leave - A woman, Umay, and her son flee Istanbul to escape from an unhealthy marriage. They go to live with Umay's family in Germany but the family strongly believes the son should return to Istanbul to live with his father. Umay is forced to move again amidst great conflict. (Planned Release Date - March 18, 2011)
- The Beaver - Jodie Foster directs and stars in this movie about an executive (played by Mel Gibson) who suffers from depression but wants to get his life back on track. Can a beaver hand puppet help? (Planned Release Date - March 25, 2011)
- White Irish Drinkers - Danny and Brian are two brothers in 1975 Brooklyn who dream of a better life free of the stifling neighbourhood and their alcoholic father. (Planned Release Date - March 25, 2011)
Comedy Films
- Paul - A wise-ass alien named Paul has lived in a top secret military base for the last 60 years. Tired of his life, he escapes from the compound and catches a ride in an RV. The two men in the RV try to return Paul to his spaceship while being chased by federal agents. (Planned Release Date - March 18, 2011)
- The Year Dolly Parton Was My Mom - An 11-year-old girl discovers her whole life has been a lie. Using a Ouija board to show her the way, she sets out to find out the truth. (Planned Release Date - March 18, 2011)
Action Movies
- Battle: Los Angeles - Earth gets attacked by unknown forces in this Aaron Eckhart movie. All the world's major cities get attacked and conquered by the enemy and only Los Angeles, headed by a group of Marines, is fighting back. (Planned Release Date - March 11, 2011)
- Hobo With a Shotgun - A homeless man moves to a new city where chaos and crime rule. He tries to bring order to the city with a 20-gauge shotgun. (Planned Release Date - March 25, 2011)
- Kill the Irishman - This movie shows the true story of Danny Greene, an Irish thug who worked for mobsters in Cleveland in the 1970s. (Planned Release Date - March 25, 2011)
- Sucker Punch - A young girl in a mental institution (thanks to her evil stepfather) creates a dream world to escape into from her horrid reality. Eventually her real world and her dream world blur together with lethal consequences. (Planned Release Date - March 25, 2011)
Family Flicks
- Rango - This animated movie revolves around a chameleon in the midst of an identity crisis. (Planned Release Date - March 4, 2011)
- Mars Needs Moms - This Walt Disney Pictures comedy tells the story of a mother and her nine-year-old boy, Milo. She gets stolen by Martians who want her to mother their young. But Milo wants his mother back and goes on an adventure to save her. (Planned Release Date - March 11, 2011)
- Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules - Greg is forced to suffer with punishments inflicted by his older brother, Rodrick. (Planned Release Date - March 25, 2011)
